Economic Feasibility of a Renewable Integrated Hybrid Power Generation System for a Rural Village of Ladakh

This paper mainly dealt with the technical and economic feasibility of an off-grid hybrid power generation system for a remote rural Turtuk village Ladakh, located in northern part India. The study showed that proposed configured renewable integrated system, using Hybrid Optimization Multiple Energy Resources (HOMER) software, efficiently met energy demand, exhibiting optimum performance low investment. PV(115 kW)/Wind(1 kW)/Battery(164 strings 6 V each)/DG(50 kW) was highly commendable, feasible solution preferred from total 133,156 available solutions resulting HOMER simulations. net present cost configuration were $278,176 $0.29/kWh, respectively. fulfilled local load, 95.97% reduced dominant harmful carbon dioxide emission, as compared to sole us diesel generator supply system. ensured, advantages including highest penetration least unmet load. Furthermore, analysis exclusively evaluated impact system’s parameters (namely, its expected inflation rate, nominal discount project lifetime) on noble single fix duo vary approach.
